The latest instalment of "When Calls the Heart" has in store generous doses of drama, love and jealousy. These Shakespearean plot elements will be juxtaposed in Hope Valley when Season 3 Episode 5 titled "A Gentle Heart" airs.
Last week's episode finally revealed some happy news for shippers of Abigail Stanton (Lori Loughlin) and Frank Hogan (Mark Humphrey). The café owner and the pastor admitted their love and received the town's blessings, which was the most heartening moment of Episode 4. However, Abigail wouldn't have persisted with her feelings if she didn't receive the unconditional support from her dear friend, Elizabeth Thatcher (Erin Krakow). The school teacher volunteered to look after Cody and even motivated her to embrace the idea of romance.
[Spoiler Alert]
When the network airs the latest episode of "When Calls the Heart," Abgail will perhaps need to provide her friend with the same amount of comfort and positivity.
In the promo for Episode 5, Elizabeth is seen weary and lonesome as she takes a solitary walk. She seems to suffer from a mental conflict of sorts. She later reveals that she's facing a problem with a new student who is finding it difficult to adjust. At this juncture, her friend tells her to invest more time in the student and help her accept new surroundings.
Although this does cheer up Elizabeth, she has to deal with another problem. Her relationship with Jack Thornton (Daniel Lissing) gets jeopardised. In the video clip, she walks in on her beau and Faith Carter (Andrea Brooks) who seem to have a rather intimate moment. Elizabeth looks shocked, and Jack's reaction remains to be seen.
Season 3 Episode 5's synopsis released via TV Guide reads:
Jack and Elizabeth's romance is tested by Jack's friendship with Faith. Meanwhile, Abigail tries to assist an unfortunate community; and the townsfolk display their compassion in honor of a special occasion.
"When Calls the Heart" Season 3 Episode 5 airs on Sunday, March 13, at 9 p.m. on Hallmark Channel. You can live-stream the episode here.
