Life's usually hard on a visually impaired or a deaf and mute person. But here's a happy bit! To surprise a deaf and mute man in their neighbourhood, people in a village in Instanbul, Turkey, learned the sign language and successfully communicated with him.

One fine morning, after Muharrem and his sister Ozlem left their home, they were surprised to see their neighbours speak to them in sign language. From a stranger wishing "good morning" to "bye-byes", the non-verbal exchanges and Muharrem's reactions were all captured by the team that arranged this surprise for him.

With the help of Leo Burnett ad agency, technology giant Samsung had initiated an ad campaign, "Hearing Hands", which was meant to introduce video call centres for their hearing impaired customers.

The team took almost one month to learn the language and set up cameras to make this surprise happen in collaboration with Muharrem's neighbours.

The video, uploaded by DigitalSynopsis.com, on 3 March has gone viral with more than six million viewing it within 10 days. The video has been shared on social media too. It ends with Muharrem crying and hugging his new friends.
