The first video song titled "Ulakathin" from upcoming Malayalam movie "Karinkunnam 6s" was released by music label Muzik247 on their YouTube page on Tuesday, June 21.
In the three-minute-15-second video song, Manju Warrier is seen giving volleyball lessons to a few inmates of Poojapura central jail and it shows the friendship they share. The song features the actress along with Babu Antony, Gregory Jacob, Baiju, Padmaraj Ratheesh, Santhosh Keezhattoor, Sudheer Karamana, Sreejith Ravi and Kottayam Pradeep, among many others. Rahul Raj has composed the music for the song, which is penned by Vinaayak Sasikumar. Rahul and Arun Alat have rendered the song with backing vocals by Joju Sebastian.
The upcoming movie also has Anoop Menon, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Shyamaprasad, Major Ravi, Maniyanpilla Raju, Aneesh, Noby, Sudev Nair, Jagadish, Manikuttan and Lena in significant roles. National Award winning actor Samuthirakani also plays a prominent role in the sports movie. "Karinkunnam 6s" is a team of volleyball players, who are the inmates of the jail and are being trained by Manju's character, who is a volleyball player. The story of the Deepu Karunakaran directorial is written by Arunlal Ramachandran, while Jayakrishna Gummadi has handled the cinematography and editing is done by V Saajan.
"Karinkunnam 6s," which is the production venture of Jayalal Menon and Anil Biswas under the banner of Backwater Studios, is expected to hit screens on July 7.
