As Bajaj continues to test its upcoming model, the Kratos VS400, on the Indian roads, the prototype of the power cruiser is once again caught on camera, this time while chasing by Yamaha YZF R3. Earlier Yamaha R15 and KTM Duke 200 had given a chase to the upcoming g power cruiser Bajaj Kratos VS400.
A YouTube video that surfaced online shows a Yamaha YZF R3 trying to catch up with the upcoming Kratos VS400 and what is interesting is that the former makes it to the front after a few rounds of attempts. The Kratos VS400, the new flagship model from Pune-based two-wheeler maker Bajaj has been keeping the biking enthusiasts on tenterhooks for about two years now. The power cruiser was first showcased at the Auto Expo 2014 as Pulsar CS400 concept and the company has been perfecting it since then.
The Kratos VS400, which is also known as Pulsar VS400 is expected to make its entry into the market in November and is rumoured to be priced starting at Rs 1.7 lakh. In terms of styling and design, although the Kratos VS400 stays true to its concept, there are new features such as gets twin instrument console and conventional telescopic front suspension, which was not part of the earlier concept. The braking duties in the new Kratos VS400 will be taken care of by disc brakes at the front and rear and the power cruise will come equipped with ABS.
As for power, Kratos VS400 is expected to draw power from a373cc liquid-cooled, 4-valve triple-spark, fuel-injected mill mated to six-speed transmission. The engine is expected to pump in a power of 40bhp and 30Nm of peak torque. The Kratos VS400 is also rumoured to get a base variant with 34bhp of power.
