The second teaser of Suriya's "Singam 2" was released on Wednesday and has fetched good response from the audience.
The 42-second teaser was viewed by more than 90,000 people in less than a day. The video uploaded on YouTube reminds us that that the film would be a racy-action thriller. The actor is shown chasing the baddies and performing stunts, in the teaser. If Mayil Vaaganam (Prakash Raj) faced trouble from tought cop Dorai Singam (Suriya) in "Singam", it would be Hollywood actor Danny Sapani who would land in trouble with the hero in the sequel. Sapani makes his appearance in the second teaser.
"Singam 2" will showcase the adventures of Dorai Singam, who will be on a mission overseas. Suriya will be seen taking on the criminals not just in India, but also in foreign soil including South Africa. The film's shooting has taken place in Thoothukudi, Karaikudi, Tirunelveli and South Africa.
Earlier, while speaking at the audio launch of the film, director Hari said that he had planned to do the sequel while he was shooting for "Singam." "I had the idea of a sequel when the original was being made. The movie begins in the southern most part of India and ends in South Africa. 'Singam 2' will showcase an authentic Indian cop on a mission," Hari said, according to a leading daily.
Actress Anushka Shetty who played the female lead in "Singam" once again features in the sequel. Hansika Motwani plays the other female lead. "Singam" had Vivek appearing as a policeman (Yettu Erimalai) and his comedy scenes were popular among the masses. In "Singam 2", the actor will be joined by another popular comedian Santhanam. The combination of Santhanam and Vivek is expected to be a laugh riot.
The rest of the cast includes Nassar, Vijayakumar and Mukesh Rishi. The film is expected to get released on 28 June.
