British stunt driver Alastair Moffatt has set a new world record for the tightest revere parallel park after managing to squeeze his mini into a combined distance of just 34cm. Reversing at speed into the gap, the incredible footage shows him perform a dramatic J-turn, then a handbrake turn, to slot the vehicle into the tiny space between the two other cars and beat the previous world record by 1cm.
The stunt was performed at Brooklands Museum in Surrey part of Guinness World Records Day on 12 November, where over 650,000 people across the world tried to enter the famous book.
Upon achieving the record, Moffatt said, I am so thrilled that I was able to achieve a Guinness World Records title today – especially on Guinness World Records Day, it doesnt get much better than that. A lot of planning, dedication and, of course, parking went it to todays successful record attempt.

Other records broken included in Peru, where Otto the Bulldog smashed the record for longest human tunnel travelled through by skateboarding dog and in Japan, Kenichi Ito scampered into the record books by running the fastest 100m on all fours in a time of 15.71 seconds.
