After auditioning for a spot, the contestants on "So You Think You Can Dance: The Next Generation" have graduated to the Academy but their journey hasn't stopped there. In Season 13 episode 5, the 40 remaining contestants will have to impress the all-stars so that they can secure their place in the competition.

So far, there have been several hits and misses on "So You Think You Can Dance: The Next Generation." It seems the younger kids are having a difficult time adjusting to dance styles that they aren't trained in. This was evidenced in Jaryan's performance. The self-taught contestant couldn't pull off a striking Broadway performance and was asked to bid goodbye to the rest of his mates on the TV show. After his exit, who will be the next to leave?

In the upcoming episode of the dancing reality show, the 40 remaining contestants will be part of gruelling rehearsals. They will have to learn Tabitha and Napoleon D'umo's hip-hop dance routine and in addition to this, they will also be part of Travis Wall's contemporary dance rehearsal.

It seems as if the all-stars will follow the same elimination routine as they did in last week's episode. However, at the end of Season 13 episode 5, the audience will be introduced to the top 10 dancers.

According to the preview clip for the upcoming episode, "Dance Moms" star Maddie Ziegler will finally take her place in the judges panel. The 13-year-old has largely been backstage, encouraging and watching the contestants perform but she will take on a different avatar in the upcoming instalment.
