The Institute has to answer some tough questions in the latest instalment of "Shadowhunters." Elsewhere in the plot, Clary (Katherine McNamara) and Jace (Dominic Sherwood) have to make a difficult decision regarding Simon (Alberto Rosende). Season 1 Episode 8 of the Freeform TV series will depict the dangers that await the shadowhunters.
In last week's episode titled "Major Arcana," Clary finally found the Mortal Cup and had a near death experience as well. The clever shadowhunter battled demons in the tunnels and finally found her way to safety, which awaited her in the form of a loving embrace from Jace. The two finally kissed and we officially have a couple alert: Clace. However, the events that unfolded at the Institute will not be missed by Clave or Valentine.

The promo for Episode 8 includes a scene between Valentine (Alan Van Sprang) and Jocelyn (Maxim Roy). He recounts their wedding day, which is of course news to those who haven't read Cassandra Clare's books "The Mortal Instruments." The video clip also reveals that Clary is his daughter Clarrisa. However, Valentine's paternal feelings may not stop him from going after Clary.
Although a second demon attack will take place, another promo indicates that Clary and Jace will escape and be safe. Nevertheless, they will be forced to deal with Simon, who has become a vampire.
In the video clip, it seems like Simon will attack Clary. It remains to be seen if he will turn against her.

The Clave sends a representative to observe the Lightwoods who are running the New York Institute after hearing of Alec, Jace and Isabelle's "extracurricular activities" with Clary. Meanwhile, Clary is faced with a difficult decision.
