Every comedy nerd knows "Saturday Night Live" is the Mecca of all comedians and for season 41, it is Jon Rudnitsky's turn to make the pilgrimage. The 25-year-old stand-up comedian is the latest featured player to join the cast of "Saturday Night Live", and will debut on the premiere episode hosted by Miley Cyrus.
Rudintsky, who was born in Harrington Park, New Jersey, is a USC graduate and the winner of the 2012 Laugh Factory Laugh Bowl contest. He also took part in the 2015 New Faces at Montreal's Just for Laughs festival.
Last season, "SNL" was in the process of rebuilding, and made noticeable changes in the cast, which included promoting writer Leslie Jones as a featured player and former writer Michael Che as the co-anchor for "Weekend Update" along with Colin Jost.
While John Milhiser, Noël Wells, and Brooks Wheelan did not feature after a lone season, Nasim Pedrad bid adieu at the end of a five-year tenure at "SNL". The cast was also made richer in season 40 with the addition of Pete Davidson.
If the last four decades of "Saturday Night Live" are any indication, upcoming season 41 is going to be amazing, and you might check that out at 11.30 pm (EST) on Saturday, 3 October. You can also live stream episode 1 via Hulu Plus or NBC Live!
