Ruler: Master Of The Mask, also known as The Emperor: Owner of the Mask, returns with episodes 15 and 16 this Thursday, June 1, at 10pm KST on MBC.
The Korean mini-series is likely to focus on the rivalry between Han Ga Eun and Kim Hwa Gun while teasing the betrayal of commoner-turned-King Yi Sun. So, Crown Prince Yi Sun is sure to face some unexpected challenges in the upcoming episodes.

Kim Dae Mok's granddaughter is blindly in love with the male protagonist and she is willing to do anything for him. She might have betrayed him to help her father but she has always been risking her life for him by moving against her grandfather.
Although Hwa Gun has her own evil intentions, she was always sincere to the Crown Prince. She is just worried about his relationship with Han Ga Eun. The young merchant was deeply hurt when she came to know that Yi Sun still loves and cares for the female protagonist. Is it the beginning of a new rivalry?

The promo shows Crown Prince Yi Sun saving his lover from a group of swordsmen and it ends by teasing an evil plot of Hwa Gun. The footage also hints at the betrayal of King Yi Sun. It shows him saying, "Even if it is just for one moment, I wish to be the real King."
The 30-second-long video even features a conversation between the Queen and the masked King. When the Queen asks him, "Do you have feelings for Ga Eun?" he replies, "How could someone like me yearn for someone like her."
