Watch Ruler Master Of The Mask episode 1 (premiere) online: Kim So Hyun teases thrilling storyline

Ruler: Master of the Mask episode 1 (premiere) will be telecast on MBC this Wednesday, May 10, at 10pm KST and it will take viewers to the 18th-century Joseon for introducing Crown Prince Lee Sun.

The male protagonist in the mini-series will be portrayed by Remember - War Of The Son actor Yoo Seung Ho and his character is described as a rebel ruler, who fights against a wealthy and powerful organisation called Pyunsoo-hwe.

The Korean period drama will revolve around the various challenges faced by Lee Sun to expose the illegal activities of the organisation with the help of his lover Han Ga Eun, played by Guardian: The Lonely And Great God actress Kim So Hyun.

Kim So Hyun recently opened up about her character in the historical drama and said, "There aren't that many scenes with lots of physical contact yet, so I haven't really thought about it. There's a big melodramatic aspect to the drama, so the way we act with our eyes is important. I'm doing my best to show that I'm in love through the look in my eyes."

The actress also teased that Korean drama lovers can expect to watch a good chemistry between her character and the Crown Prince, resulting in a viewership rating of over 20 percent.

"We have great chemistry. You can look forward to it. It's nice because we work together really well. He also takes good care of me since he's older. Because I trust him, I feel at ease and can do a better job. Our cast will open a fan signing event and wear our drama costumes there if we get over 20 percent views," Soompi quoted the female lead.

Kim So Hyun also urged her fans to watch Ruler: Master of the Mask episode 1 live online. "While 'Ruler' is a must-watch in itself, and I might not be in the position to say this, but I will just say it without being too serious. I think it will be a source of consolation for those who are having a hard time," she said.
