Fans of E!'s scripted series, "The Royals" should keep tissues at the ready. The season 2 finale promises to be extremely emotional, not to mention, heart breaking for fans of Jasper and Eleanor. The finale episode will tie up all the loose ends on the show and will signal the beginning of a new phase in the royals' life.
In season 2 episode 10, Princess Eleanor (Alexandra Park) and Jasper share a heartfelt, genuine moment. Prince Liam's bodyguard saves her from an angry mob that seems to be fed up with the monarchy. Later on, the princess is in tears as she asks Jasper to leave and never set foot in the premises again.
Elsewhere in the episode, Prince Liam (William Moseley) shows the footage of his father King Simon's death to the people of England. What ensues is shock, anger and a slow realisation that the monarchy is quite impotent. Nevertheless, there is some happy news that could appease the crowd.
'The Royals' official Facebook Page hints at a royal wedding, perhaps between King Cyrus and Prudence. If this is indeed true, Queen Helena's (Elizabeth Hurley) plans to take over the crown can never materialise. In the promo, the Queen is told, "You can find a life outside these walls," to which Helena responds, "This is my life."
"The Royals" season 2 episode 10 titled "The Serpent That Did Sting Thy Father's Life" airs on Sunday, 17 January, at 10 pm on E! You can live stream the episode online via E! Live.
