When "Rosewood" returns on Fox with episode 2 titled "Fireflies and Fidelity" at 8 pm on Wednesday, 30 September, Dr Beaumont Rosewood (Morris Chestnut) and detective Annalise Villa (Jaina Lee Ortiz) may face new challenges in their personal and professional lives.
The official synopsis of the upcoming sequel, which can be live streamed here, states that the lead characters will attempt to solve a serious crime involving a very well-off Miami man when an unexpected piece of evidence surfaces in the 305.
The followers of the show will also see Chestnut's character gradually developing a love interest for the new detective in the city. But, he will struggle to balance his romantic life with the demands of his mother Donna Rosewood (Lorraine Toussaint).
In the meantime, Ortiz's character will face some new challenges in her professional life as she runs into trouble on the job in episode 2 of the medical procedural drama.
Other cast members to appear in the upcoming sequel includes Gabrielle Dennis as Pippy Rosewood, Anna Konkle as Tara Milly Izikoff and Domenick Lombardozzi as captain Ira Hornstock.
