Almost anyone who has watched "Rizzoli and Isles" since its series premiere will tell you that Jane Rizzoli and Maura Isles' friendship is one that all of us aspire to have. Unfortunately, this sisterhood will no longer air on television screens as the series has come to an end. And with every end is the start of a new beginning. In Season 7 episode 12 titled "Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow," Jane (Angie Harmon) and Maura will begin a new chapter in their lives. While Jane will find love, Maura (Sasha Alexander) will think about her career.
In the penultimate episode of "Rizzoli and isles" series, Jane will have a surprise visitor. Although it's not yet clear who this person really is, suffice it to say that it is someone from Jane's past. This romance will make Jane giddy, but it won't change her plans of moving to New York. The detective will still take up the teaching position in FBI's headquarters in Quantico.
In Season 7 episode 13, Jane will be thrilled at the prospect of finding love, but her best friend won't share the same predicament. Maura will get some disturbing news about her book. According to the synopsis (via TV Guide), the publishers will reject Maura's manuscript and spoilers suggest that she could quit her job. To be sure, Maura could face an existential crisis as she will remain unsure of what she wants to do next.
But before these two ladies figure out where life takes them, they will try to solve a murder that has a deep impact on Korsak (Bruce McGill). In Season 7 episode 12, Jane and Maura will try to find an answer to a case that affected Korsak years earlier.
"Rizzoli and Isles" Season 7 episode 12 airs at 9 p.m. EST on Monday, Aug. 29, on TNT. You can live-stream the episode via TNT's website.
