Queen Mary (Adelaide Kane) is still mourning the death of her beloved husband, but she will be forced to make some serious decisions to protect France and to keep her promises to Francis' (Toby Regboa) dying wishes.
In Season 3 Episode 6 of "Reign" we see Mary announcing the monarch's death, and giving ear to her confidants on what she has to do to take back the kingdom in the aftermath of his death.
In "Fight or Flight" Mary realises that despite the tumultuous relationship she shares with Catherine (Megan Follows) she will have to back her mother-in-law as the new regent, even if it means her alliance with Scotland will be hurt in the process.
Catherine is clear on retracting the French troops from Scotland, leaving it defenceless at a very critical juncture.
In the promo for Episode 6 we see Catherine determinedly declaring, "We must pull the French troops out of Scotland", to which Mary asks, "Leaving Scotland defenceless?"
Meanwhile Queen Elizabeth (Rachel Skarsten) is planning to take advantage of Scotland's vulnerable state to conquer the nation, even after being repeatedly advised not to do so. "They (Scots) will turn against you," she is warned, but the furious queen replies, "I need to take down the Queen of Scots".
Elizabeth is not only consumed with the need to defeat her nemesis, but is also struggling with the prospect of losing her beloved Robert Dudley (Charlie Carrick).
Watch out for Season 3 Episode 6 of "Reign" at 8.00 PM(EST) on Friday, 20 November. You can also livestream "Fight of Flight" via CWTV.
