Dilli Veer take on Mumbai Garuda in their second last league match of the Pro Wrestling League 2015 on Monday. The best-of-seven amateur wrestling clashes will take place at the IGI Indoor Stadium at the national capital.
The Delhi side have got problems, as they have been unable to pick up a win from any of last three games in the tournament. The Mumbai side, meanwhile, look set to make it to the next round, as they haven't lost a single game this time.
Garuda, with 'icon' player Adeline Gray at their helm, have been superlative this time. They are the only side apart from Haryana Hammers to make it three-out-of-three wins this year. Mumbai thrashed UP Warriors in their previous game last Tuesday.
Sakshi Malik (women's 58 kg) is another star in the Mumbai side apart from Gray. The 2014 Commonwealth Games silver medallist made headlines by defeating Geeta Phogat of Punjab Royals in the opening day of the competition.
Even Nigeria's Odunayo Adekuoroye (women's 53 kg) is another tough wrestler for Mumbai Garuda. On-paper, Team Delhi have no chance at all today, as the morale of the team can also be expected to be low after three-straight losses.
However, the likes of Vinesh Phogat and Yesilirmak will be determined to give Mumbai a tough competition at home today.
Dilli Veer vs Mumbai Garuda is scheduled for a 7 pm IST start.
