U Mumba have been the best team in Pro Kabaddi League 2015 as they have only lost a single game in their nine matches played so far. They currently lie on second position in the standings table with 40 points and are two points behind Telugu Titans, who have played 11 games so far.
Hence, U Mumba can again move back to the top of standings with a victory over Bengal Warriors, who have been dismal in the competition as they have only registered two victories in the second edition of Pro Kabaddi League. U Mumba take on Bengal Warriors on Sunday at Thyagaraj Sports Complex in Delhi.
U Mumba had a cent percent win record in the tournament before they suffered loss in their last match against Jaipur Pink Panthers as the game saw some brilliant performances from both sides of the players to make it a lively affair at Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad. The score read 35-25 in favour of the Panthers.
U Mumba, who are not used to losing will be eager to get back to their winnings ways and come up with a great performance against the Bengal Warriors, who have only defeated Pink Panthers and Dabang Delhi.
If the Warriors are to have any chance of winning their third match of Pro Kabaddi League 2015, they need to come up with a better performance as they have already suffered defeat at the hands of Mumbai with the score reading 29-25 earlier in the league.
There is no doubt about some quality players in Bengal Warriors, but they need to step up their game and finish the tournament on a high. Mahendra Rajesh Rajput needs to lead the team from the front and players such as Bajirao Hodage needs to support one another in this big game.
For the U Mumba players, they need no motivation as they have shown in the competition, where they have demolished various teams. With players such as Anup Kumar as captain and defenders such as Mohit Chillar, they are a strong force in the competition.
No wonder after a series of impressive performance during the season, U Mumba have been slated as favourites. U Mumba, who finished second last season, will be eager to go one better this season.
But, as of now, they need to take one game at a time and currently focus on their next opponent, Bengal Warriors.
