The bottom-two at the Pro Kabaddi League 2015 -- Bengal Warriors and Puneri Paltan -- are set to fight it out at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium, Bengaluru, on 13 August.
Only three points separate the two at the bottom of the table, with the Warriors sitting above Pune in the seventh position. The Kolkata side, however, have played two extra games so far.
The Warriors come into the game at the backdrop of only one win in their last five games in the competition this year, and their win had come against Dabang Delhi. The Bengal Warriors' last result, however, remained a massive 31-17 defeat to leaders U Mumba in Delhi.
Puneri Paltan also had a similar luck as they won just once in their previous five games. Their win incidentally came against the Warriors in Jaipur. However, Pune recorded a heavy 31-18 loss against defending champions Jaipur Pink Panthers in their last game.
With the aim of qualifying for the playoffs all but over for this year, both teams will be looking to make a mark in the penultimate stage of the Pro Kabaddi 2015 in Bangalore.
With the likes of Wazir Singh and Pravin Niwale in their ranks, Pune can get back the momentum if they win today.
"We want to fight till the very end. It's important we win our game tomorrow. Then, we will have a great chance in Pune where I am sure the crowd will be behind us in large numbers. I am confident we will play much better in Pune," Yahoo quoted Niwale as saying.
Puneri Paltan manager Kailash Kandpal also echoed the same. "It is extremely important that we give ourselves a chance. I am confident we are going to do really well in Pune. The home crowd could be a vital factor which can help us turn things in our favour."
For the Warriors, Dinesh Kumar, Jang Kun Lee, and Nilesh Shinde will have to step up their performance, as they have just three games remaining this season.
The match between Bengal Warriors and Puneri Paltan gets underway at 8 pm IST (3:30pm BST).
