Dabang Delhi take on Puneri Paltan in match 11 of the Pro Kabaddi League 2015, and both teams will have to pull their respective socks up going into the game at the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Indoor Stadium, Kolkata on Friday.
While the Pune side come into the game in the backdrop of two losses on the trot, the Delhi side are also without a point after their loss against the Telugu Titans.
Delhi coach Honnappa C Gowda is, however, willing to look ahead to the game and forget their inaugural loss in the campaign this year.
"We will hit back, the first match will prove to be just an aberration," Gowda was quoted as saying.
The absence of key raider Surjeet Narwal in the first game took away all the sheen from the Delhi side. The India international is suffering from an injury, and it is unsure whether he will be able to make an appearance even today.
However, Narwal mentioned that one player's absence doesn't affect the team, because kabaddi is a team game.
"It's a team sport anyway; even if I don't make it, there is Kashi and Rohit- they shall take care of raiding. We have a strong defense anyway," said Narwal.
The defending of Ravinder Singh was one of the more prominent aspects of Delhi's game in the last match, and he will have to step up again. So should raider Kashling Adake.
For the Pune side, Wazir Singh remains the biggest name in the Paltan roster. The 25-year-old showed immense flair in their narrow loss against leaders U Mumba, and Delhi have to be wary of him.
"Pune are a really good team, with Wazir leading them, they can turn around their fortunes any given day. We can't afford to be complacent," Narwal continued.
Both sides will now be looking at embracing the Kolkata leg of the matches by starting with a favourable result, and forget their not-so-memorable league campaign in Mumbai this year.
The match gets underway at 8 pm IST (3:30pm BST).
