AMC's latest supernatural show "Preacher" will be airing its episode 2, titled "See," on Sunday, June 5. The episode will see more of Jesse's (Dominic Cooper) journey towards becoming a good priest and the supernatural elements that cause hindrances.
The official synopsis for episode 2 of "Preacher" reads: "Jesse tries to be a 'good preacher,' unaware that a mysterious duo is after him. Meanwhile, the enigmatic Cowboy is introduced."
It is understood that the mysterious duo is Fiore (Tom Brooke) and DeBlanc (Anatol Yusef), the Adelphi angels who have been tasked with watching the half-demonic-half-angelic creature named Genesis. Our theory is the entity currently residing inside Jesse is Genesis and the angels are trying to lure it out.
The sneak peek from "See," which has been shared by IGN, shows Fiore and DeBlanc trying some sort of ritual on an unconscious Jesse. IGN identifies the song in the background as a rendition of the poem "Wynken, Blynken, and Nod."

It looks like Fiore and DeBlanc are trying to lure Genesis out of Jesse with the lullaby-like song, but things definitely do not go according plan. From the video it seems Genesis was ideally supposed to come out of Jesse by the end of the song, but it didn't, confusing the angels. The video ends with them exclaiming: "This doesn't make sense."
"Preacher" is based on the comic book series of the same name and explains Jesse's possession as an accident, which makes him potentially more powerful that God himself. It remains to be seen how much the TV show sticks to the story from the comics, but the show is very promising and is likely to get you hooked.
