North Korean news agency KCNA published a propaganda video on 1 April, showing a virtual missile attack targeting Seouls presidential house, which was reduced to rubble. The strike also hit a couple of other government buildings. This came around a week after North Korea released similar footage showing a nuclear attack on Washington.
The video, complete with very dodgy special effects and epic music, is the latest in a line of propaganda releases from the isolated nation. North Korea frequently labels South Korea and the US as its enemies, threatening them with missiles and all-out war. Experts remain unconvinced that North Korea actually has the capability to launch long-range missiles. Tensions remained high on the Korean peninsula after North Korea said it conducted a successful hydrogen bomb test on 6 January.
