The Cleveland Cavaliers might be considered as one of the favourites for the NBA title after defeating Golden State Warriors with the score reading, 99-110.
LeBron James came up with a dazzling display as he finished with a season high 42 points and the Cavs have in fact looked better as the season has moved ahead. They did not start their campaign well, but have taken the NBA by storm with 36 wins and 22 losses, and hence are on the third position of the Eastern Conference.
They have won eight out of their last ten games and would be trying to come up with a similar performance tonight against the Indiana Pacers.
The Pacers on the other hand have been struggling with 23 wins and 34 losses against their name and might not find a place in the Playoffs, if their form does not improve over the course of the regular season.
Pacers lost their last game against the Thunder, 92 -105. They need to improve on their game if they are to put up any fight against the most in-form team of the NBA.
Cavs would once again be looking at James to help them maintain their winning streak, while other players such as Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving have been in rich scoring form as well.
Irving averages 21.7 points per game, while Love averages 16.9 points per game. If the Cavs trio maintain such form during the Playoffs as well, it would be a huge task for other teams in the league to stop them from winning the NBA title.
"We're not trying to send a message, just trying to improve every time we get an opportunity to come out on the floor and play," AP quoted James as saying.
But, James feels that they still have a huge chance of improving their game.
"We've been doing some good things the last couple months, but we still have a lot of room to improve and hopefully we can continue that."
The Cavs would be aware of the fact that the Pacers defeated them in the last encounter with the score being 99-103.
