There is something magical about the Golden State Warriors with Stephen Curry in red hot form as they have made it a habit to win games from impossible situations. The Warriors, after their stunning comeback, win against Clippers on Thursday, have taken their winning streak to 13 games and are yet to lose in the regular season so far.
The Warriors are in for another stern test as they prepare to maintain their unbeaten streak to face Chicago Bulls at Oracle Arena in Oakland on Friday.
The Bulls, who have been in decent form this season, lie second in the eastern conference standings table with eight wins and three losses, should be a confident unit when they face Warriors as they have won their last four matches on a trot.
If the Bulls are to come any close in handing Warriors their first defeat of the season, star players such as Jimmy Butler, Pau Gasol and Derrick Rose need to come up with their A-class performance, but the visitors are aware of the amazing form Curry has struck, where he has blown away teams with his shooting skills.
Make no mistake, Butler, who averages 20.4 points, may be a mega star, but Curry is one a league of his own and on current form, even the likes of LeBron James may be jealous of the way Curry has lead Warriors from the front.
With such performances under Curry's belt for the Warriors, though, it may be too early, fans and experts are already talking about a potential NBA MVP for Curry this season as well.
However, one wonders what needs to be done to hand Warriors their maiden loss. The Clippers, though, came close on Thursday, had taken a 41-25 lead in the first half and one thought that the home team will be successful in defeating the Warriors, which did not shape up as the visitors took their game to the next level in the third and fourth quarter to clinch the game 124-117.
As expected, Stephen Curry was the hero of the night for the Warriors as he scored 40 points against Clippers.
The Bulls have their task cut out with Curry in stupendous form this season as he averages 34.2 points per game, which is incredible, considering that the season is just in its initial phase and Curry has already found his rhythm.
Curry along with players resemble a confident unit on the court as he believes that his team has a chance even when they are not playing upto their normal standard.
"We're a confident team that no matter how bad we're playing, we always feel like we have a shot," AP quoted Curry as saying. "The goal now is to not make it harder on ourselves. We'll clean that up."
Apart from Curry, the Warriors have players such as Klay Thompson and Draymond Green, who are going to hold the key for Warriors against the Bulls.
