Two top teams of the Eastern Conference, Chicago Bulls and Cleveland Cavaliers, would be involved in an entertaining clash at the Quicken Loans Arena with the Cavs lying second in the standings, and Bulls in third place.
One can expect a great game between both the sides, who have already grabbed the prestigious playoff spots. The Cavs have won 49 games and lost 27, while the Bulls win-loss record stands at 46-30.
The Bulls have a huge task ahead as they face Cavs on the road. The Cavaliers have an impressive record at home with a 28-9 win-loss record and the Bulls are 21-16 on the road.
If the Bulls are to threaten the Cavs, they need some of their key players like Paul Gasol to fire on all cylinders and the Spaniard feels it is going to be challenging for them.
"It's going to be a challenge for us," AP quoted Gasol as saying. It's going to be a really good test for us. We should approach it with everything we've got, as if it was a playoff game."
"I've been able to do things that I haven't done in my entire career, but the most important thing to me is team success. It's how well we play as a team and how ready we get for the playoffs."
Such kinds of matches are going to be crucial for both the teams ahead of the playoffs, which comprises of top teams from the league.
The Cavaliers on the other hand would be a confident unit, which has won their last two games and would be looking for a third consecutive victory against the Bulls. Their key player Kevin Love is also expected to play tonight after missing Cavs' last game against Miami Heat.
Love has been a huge player for the Cavaliers this season where he averages 16.5 points. Apart from Love, the two other big players LeBron James and Kyrie Irving have been in sensational form and have been the main reason for Cavs' excellent performance.
James and Irving average 25.6 and 21.9 points per game respectively.
If the Cavaliers trio of Love, James and Irving carry this form into the NBA playoffs, it would take some doing to oust Cavs from the competition.
