Despite lying fourth in NBA's Eastern Conference standings table, Chicago Bulls face an uphill task in their game against the in-form team of the NBA -- Golden State Warriors -- later tonight at the Oracle Arena.
The Warriors have had a great run in the league so far with 36 wins and only 6 losses and have not lost in any of their last five games.
Their opponents Bulls lost their last fixture against the Miami Heat with the score reading 96-84.
Their key player, Paul Gasol feels that they have not been able to get "some kind of rhythm" in the team.
"I don't know if there's a straight explanation for it," forward Pau Gasol said, as quoted by ESPN.
"We're trying to get ourselves going, get in some kind of rhythm but we haven't been able to do it yet."
Pau Gasol has been putting up some good displays in both the offensive as well as the defensive end. He averages 18.3 points and 11.8 rebounds per game during the season.
But, Gasol is aware that he needs to be on top of his game if he wants the Chicago Bulls to break Golden State Warriors' five-game winning streak.
With Mike Dunleavy and Joakim Noah not sure for tonight's game, Gasol's performance matters even more, considering Warriors have been a fantastic side this season when at home with a 21-1 record.
For Golden State, guards Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson have been in red hot form with both the players averaging 22.8 points per game.
Thompson showed his true colours last week against the Kings scoring the most points (37) in a quarter in NBA's history.
The two guards of the Warriors make a formidable pair, one of the most destructible in the league this season.
In the last quarter of their match, Warriors nearly gave up their lead against the Boston Celtics, but thanks to Thompson's display once again, Warriors won the game.
"The end-of-game execution wasn't great. We made some bonehead plays the last three or four minutes and let them back into the game," said Andrew Bogut, Warriors' center, who has been a vital player defensively with 8.7 rebounds per game this season.
