There is one question all "Naruto" fans have been asking regarding Tokyo TV's adaptation and that is, when will the storyline return to canon? One filler arc after another, Season 20 has been a cause of frustration to many fans who want to see the actual war and not alternate realities.
However, now it looks like there is an end to the wait for the war. According to Anime New Network, Tokyo TV's official website for "Naruto Shippūden" has released a new visual for the series. The visual is said to be the representation of the new arc, which is expected to start in May.
As fans know, "Naruto Shippuden" is currently following Itachi's storyline under the arc, "Itachi Shinden-hen: Hikari to Yami." This is based on the "Itachi Shinden" novels written by Takashi Yano, and works as a prequel to the events in the manga.
To be fair, the current filler arc is very popular among fans, considering Itachi is one of the most lovable characters of the anime. However, it is high time that the story returned to the canon and that is what most "Naruto Shippuden" viewers are hoping for.

The new arc will take the storyline back to Masashi Kishimoto's original manga, which will feature the epic battle between the original Team 7 and Kaguya. It is also understood that the new series starting in May will get a new opening theme song, titled "Blood Circulator," which will be performed by Asian Kung-Fu Generation.
Meanwhile, the upcoming episode 458 of "Naruto Shippuden" Season 20 is titled "Truth" and it will see more of Sasuke. The younger Uchiha is jealous of his brother Itachi, which in turn helps awaken his Sharingan.
