After receiving positive response for the official trailer, the makers of Mohanlal's upcoming crime thriller released another trailer featuring a beautiful sand art creation on Monday, August 1.
"A trailer born in sand..Here is an incredible sand art on Oppam Trailer by‪ Udayan Edappal‬. Congrats for this excellent piece of work [sic]," reads the post released on the official Facebook page of Priyadarshan's film.
A few days ago, Mohanlal had shared a photo of his meeting with Udayan who had gifted the superstar a sand art portrait of him. "To become an artist's art is an amazing experience. Udayan Edappal's works are special because of the different medium he uses. It is a pleasure to meet the artist with his art [sic]," Mohanlal had then written on his social media page while sharing the photo.
The one-minute 47-second trailer of the upcoming movie, edited by "Premam" director Alphonse Puthren, was well accepted by the audience and has been viewed more than eight lakh times within 10 days of its release on the YouTube page of Aashirvad Cinemas. Watch "Oppam" trailer.
In "Oppam," which also stars Nedumudi Venu, Vimala Raman, Baby Meenakshy, Chemban Vinod, Renji Panicker and Anusree in key roles, Mohanlal plays a blind lift operator, who "witnesses" a crime. The upcoming movie, which marks the association of Priyadarshan and Mohanlal after three years, is being produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirwad Cinemas. It is expected to hit the screens as an Onam release on September 8.
