Admittedly, this is one of the favourite episodes for kids on "MasterChef US Junior," in which losing can give you some swag. In episode 2, contestants take part in a cup cake challenge, but as always in the MasterChef kitchen, there's a twist. They have to add frosting to 60 pre-made cupcakes in 10 minutes.
Season 4 episode 2 of "MasterChef US Junior" titled "A Sweet Surprise" involves a challenge that's unique to the kids' version of the culinary competition: those who fail in this challenge will have to dunk their dish on the judges, Gordon Ramsay, Graham Elliot and Christina Tosi's head.
For the cupcake challenge, the three best home cooks from the premiere episode - Sam, Jesse and Addison - will participate to top a cupcake with silky and smooth layers of cream.
In the promo for the upcoming episode, Chef Gordon Ramsay invites past MasterChef US Junior winner, Logan Guleff to be the guest judge. As expected, the kids have a moment of inspiration. After all, Logan won the cupcake challenge in season 2.
From the promo, it appears that each of the judges root for one of the contestants, and Chef Ramnsay's pick is Addison.
Nevertheless, the promo reveals that Addison loses the challenge and earns some coolness by dumping a load of frosting on Chef Ramsay's head.
"Masterchef US Junior" season 4 episode 2 titled, "A Sweet Surprise" airs on Friday, 13 November at 8pm on Fox. You can live stream the episode via FOX NOW.
