After the four couples on "Married at First Sight" Australia tied the knot in Season 2 episode 1 and 2, it is time for them to go on their honeymoon. In the latest instalment of the reality TV show, the newly weds have a romantic getaway, but things fall apart for Mark and Christie.
[Spoiler Alert]
To be honest, Christie and Mark seem to have little or no chemistry at all. The DJ from Sydney didn't feel any attraction towards her husband on the day of their wedding. This seems to continue in episode 3 as well.
While Mark relentlessly tries to understand his wife, she offers him little chance to do that. In the promo for episode 3, Christie appears to be very defensive and tells him that she doesn't want to continue "doing this" any longer.
Elsewhere, she walks out of the room, leaving behind a startled Mark, who seems to have no idea why he's left alone. Will Christie warm up to her husband later on in episode 3? Perhaps she does. In an interview with Popsugar Australia, Christie told the outlet that she's glad Mark showed his sensitive side when she fell ill on their wedding day.
Christie added, "Even if [she and Mark] had that unspoken connection, I'm not a person who just shows everything â€" I'm a slow burner."
Meanwhile, other couples have some awkward experiences on their honeymoon as well. Simone breaks down when her husband Xavier asks her to store her clothes in the TV table. Will she confront him about his obtuse suggestions?
"Married at First Sight" Australia Season 2 episode 3 airs 7.30 p.m. AEST Monday, April 11 on Channel 9. You can live-stream the episode via Channel 9's website.
