The latest instalment of "Madam Secretary" will focus on very real world problems such as Indo-Pakistan talks, and will also tackle terrorism through a fictitious terror organisation called Hizb-al-Shahid. This will be the main plot of Season 2 episode 18 titled "On the Clock."
Previously, Elizabeth McCord's (Téa Leoni) husband Henry (Tim Daly) worked with his group at Murphy Station to locate Hijriyyah, the third and newest wife of Jibral Disah, the world's most wanted terrorist. Their search led them to her teacher, who currently lives in the U.S. The people working in U.S. intelligence finally established contact with Hijriyyah and even found out that she's unhappy with her terrorist of a husband. Their next plan? To make her a U.S. asset.
This is exactly what Henry and his team will do in episode 18. According to the synopsis (via TV Guide), Elizabeth's husband will work closely with the NSA and find a way to get to Disah. Their search will perhaps be successful with the help of Hijriyyah, who hinted that she wanted to get away from Disah.
Meanwhile, Bess will have to deal with different problems of her own. The Secretary of State will be a part of an interview that is difficult and intense. Guest star Jane Pauley will take on the role of a journalist, who asks Bess about the debilitating peace talks between India and Pakistan in the face of a plane crash.
Fans of the show will remember that Bess has always managed to wriggle her way out of problems. However, will she feel the pressure this time?
"Madam Secretary" Season 2 episode 18 airs Sunday, March 27 at 8 p.m. on CBS. You can live-stream the episode via CBS All Access.
