The spin-off show to "Arrow" and "The Flash", "Legends of Tomorrow", premiered on Thursday, 21 January, much to the euphoria of the DC fandom. While fans are yet to see the rag-tag team of heroes — nay, legends — develop as individuals, the coming episode, titled "Pilot, Part 2", will see the characters interacting a little bit more with each other.
In "Pilot, Part 2", the Legends have travelled back to a time when Vandal Savage (Casper Crump) is holding a munitions deal for some of the greatest villains of all time. In a screen-shot from the promo for the episode, Damien Darhk (Neal Mc McDonough) can be seen lurking in the background, as Heat Wave (Cominic Purcell) asks Captain Cold's (Wentworth Miller) permission to burn things up.
In the fight that ensues after Savage figures out that the "Legends" do not belong there, all the heroes jump into action. Ant-sized Atom (Brandon Routh), who was chilling in Dr Stein's (Victor Garber) pocket, flies out and smashes the villains, as White Canary (Caity Lotz) puts away as many people as she can. Hawkgirl (Ciara Renée) and Hawkman (Falk Henschel) also fly in to the aid of their fellow time-travellers.
Although the fight brings the heroes closer together as a team, it causes an important piece of Atom's suit to fall off. Dr Stein decides to take the help one of the most brilliant people he knows — a younger version of himself. In one of the promos for the episode, this younger version of Dr Stein is seen high on drugs, and White Canary decides he is the kind of person she wants to hang out with.
It would be interesting to see if the writers create some romantic tension for the young doctor and the White Canary.
