The official trailer of Jiiva-Trisha starrer "Endrendrum Punnagai" was launched on 2 June, after a plagiarised scene was removed from the video.
"Endrendrum Punnagai new teaser, after removing plagiarized scene from earlier teaser. Looks better," senior journalist Sreedhar Pillai tweeted.
"Endrendrum Punnagai" is a romantic-comedy flick directed by Ahmed. The film boasts of a multi-star cast including Santhanam, Vinay and Andrea. Earlier, the film's trailer was to get released along with the release of Sasikumar's "Kutti Puli" on 30 May.
"ENDRENDRUM PUNNAGAI teaser! Sorry for the delay! Stil waitin for the censor certificate! Wil release by tmrw eve!," Red Giant Movies' Udhayanidhi Stalin tweeted on Thursday. Red Giant Movies has bought the Tamil Nadu theatrical rights of the film.
Then he tweeted, "Still some technical issues! ENDRENDRUM PUNNAGAI teaser wil b uploaded tmrw afnoon! Sorry again for the delay!," on Friday (31 May).
The trailer was launched on 1 June, but was later taken down. However, the new trailer was launched on 2 June after a plagiarised scene from the earlier video was pulled out.
The trailer looks promising and assures a fun ride for film buffs. Actor Jiiv was last seen in the box office dud "David". It has been quite some time since the actor has given a hit film in Tamil. Expectations are high for his upcoming "Endrendrum Punnagai".
This is the first time that the actor is cast opposite Trisha on the big screen. Actors Vinay and Santhanam will play vital roles. The film has been canned in various places including Europe. The shooting is nearing completion and the film is expected to get released in August.
The film is produced by GKM Tamil Kumaran and Dr Ramadoss, and the music is composed by veteran music director Harris Jayaraj.
