The latest instalment of "How to Get Away with Murder" will solve the mystery surrounding Wes's mother's death. In all likelihood, the law student will meet the killer in Season 2 Episode 13 titled "Something Bad Happened."
In last week's episode titled "It's a Trap" Wes (Alfred Enoch) and Laurel (Karla Souza) travelled to Ohio to find answers to his mother's death. When the two searched for information, Laurel found a video of young Wes holding a knife and standing over his mother's dead body. This shocked her and she suspected her classmate is guilty of committing the crime. However, her perception towards Wes will change once she talks to Annalise.
[Spoiler Alert]
In the promo for Episode 13, Laurel asks her mentor, "Did Wes kill his mother?" While it isn't clear what Annalise (Viola Davis) tells her, it becomes abundantly clear that Annalise has withheld information from him and this puts his life in danger.
In the video clip, Wes is in his parent's apartment and walks up the stairs and Laurel's disembodied voice is heard saying, "You should tell him. He could be hurt; he could hurt himself."
This ominous message indicates that the murderer is still in Ohio, perhaps waiting for the law student. Furthermore, it is likely that he might know his mom's murderer if he/she is lurking in the room Wes is about to enter.
Season 2 Episode 13's synopsis released via TV Guide reads:
Annalise mulls taking a risk to shield the team from Philip, but the consequences could be too great. Meanwhile, Wes continues to gather information about his mother's death. Also: A flashback reveals a severe turn in the Mahoney case for Annalise's client.
"How to Get Away with Murder" Season 2 Episode 13 airs on Thursday, March 3, at 10 p.m. on ABC. You can live-stream the episode via ABC Go.
