Although it's been 10 years since "The Hills" aired on television, most fans will remember Lauren Conrad's infamous fights with co-star Heidi Montag. If there was ever a doubt about how real their enmity was, then Lauren will spill the truth in the 10th anniversary special, "That was Then, This is Now."
The reality star' appearance on the show will reveal which scenes in "The Hills" were scripted and which weren't. Lauren, 30, will also talk about the cast members on the MTV reality show and will address how things stand now. Earlier, Heidi told Buzzfeed that she still kept in touch with Lauren even after the show ended. However, they also realised that they are no longer friends anymore.
If you gobbled up all the drama on "The Hills," then the anniversary special could be significant. In that, Lauren will reveal some stories that weren't fully explained on the show.
"Often, we would say that if you knew the real story, you would understand. And what I'd like to do is tell that story," she says in the promo.
To be sure, the promos for "That was Then, This is Now" only capture an intimate conversation with Lauren. However, we wonder if other cast members will make an appearance and if there will be a reunion. So far, there's been no indication that Heidi will appear in the anniversary special episode.
Nevertheless, Whitney port uploaded a picture of the Hollywood Hills on her Instagram and captioned it: "Shoot Day." She also confirmed that she will be part of "That was Then, This is Now." It's not clear if Audrina Patridge will join these two ladies.
"The Hills" 10th anniversary special titled "That was Then, This is Now" airs at 9 p.m. EST on Tuesday, August 2 on MTV. You can watch it online by streaming it via MTV's website.
