The Season 15 premiere episode gave us a glimpse of what to expect in the forthcoming episodes of "Hell's Kitchen". The narrator in Episode 1 did mention that this season's contestants are an "unbalanced" group of chefs, and we predict this description will be proven true in Episode 2.
In the upcoming episode, Chef Gordon Ramsay will ask the contestants to make dumplings. Whilst the Michelin-star chef gives a short tutorial on how to make shrimp dumplings, Alan's eyes light up. The Asian chef is excited to make a dish he is very comfortable with. However, it remains to be seen if he excels at making a dumpling that excites Chef Gordon Ramsay.
Elsewhere in the episode, the Red team and the Blue team are required to get ready for dinner service. The promo reveals that the Red team will use Arctic Char as the protein in their entrees. Whilst pan-searing the fish fillet, Sherkenna ends up burning the skin. Although her teammates tell her it is burnt, Sherkenna doesn't listen and earns the wrath of Gordon Rmasay. At one point in the promo, Chef Ramsay says he's done and ready to give up on his cheftestant.
If the Red team does lose this challenge, we predict that Sherkenna might be in trouble.
Season 15 Episode 2's synopsis released via TV Guide reads:
The teams have 20 minutes to make the most shrimp dumplings during a distraction-filled challenge. Also: The Game shows up unannounced during dinner service.
"Hell's Kitchen" Season 15 Episode 2, titled "17 Chefs compete", airs on Friday, 22 January, at 9 pm on Fox. You can live-stream the episode via FOX NOW and Hulu.
