"Girl Meets World" season 2 episode 17 will be aired by Disney Channel soon, and as the show progresses we will get to see more of how Riley adjusts into this world as a young adult.
In the previous episode, "Girl Meets Cory and Topanga", we saw Riley (Rowan Blanchar) and Maya (Sabrina Carpenter) go back in time to see how Cory (Ben Savage) and Topanga (Daniell Fishel) fared as kids. The episode had begun with Riley feeling like she would never match the high standard of living that her parents practice.
However, in the end she learns that she is a great combination of both of her parents. In another episode 'Girl Meets Farkle", Riley and her friends learned that being different is not bad, it only means being unique and we should embrace it. In fact this is a running theme, which was also he primary subject in "Girl Meets Yearbook".
In the coming episode of "Girl Meets World" too we will get to see more of Riley's journey towards self-discovery.
Although it has teased some romantic storylines here and there, "GMW" is predominantly a show about Riley's life and will not emulate the same exact storyline of "Boy Meets World". In fact, although it seemed like Luas (Peyton Meyer) and Riley might become a couple, more or less repeating the same old Cory-Topanga love story, it looks like that will not be the case; especially with the Lucas-Maya chemistry that has become very prominent in the past couple of episodes..
However, Michael Jacobs, the creator of the show, has said that rather than becoming one half of an epic love story, Riley presence will be more like her uncle Eric (Will Firedle) to young Ava (Ava Morgenstern) and Augie (August Maturo). So that is relationship you can look forward to, if you want to see something close to Cory and Topanga.
It has also been teased that the lovable Zay Babineaux (Amir Mitchell Townes), who joined the cast mid-season 2, will have a more prominent presence in the coming episodes.
