After a week-long break, "The Flash" is returning to The CW on Tuesday, 1 December, with the "Arrow" crossover episode titled "Legends of Today". As fans have probably guessed, Season 2 Episode 8 will act as a backdoor episode to "Legends of Tomorrow", which will premiere on The CW on 21 January, 2016.
Many of main cast members from the show have already debuted in "Arrow" and "The Flash", namely the Atom (Brandon Routh), White Canary (Caity Lotz), Firestorm (Victor Garber/Franz Drameh), Heat Wave (Dominic Pucell), Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) and Kendra Saunders (Ciara Renee).
Kendra, the new barista at Central City's Jitters, is a reincarnation of the ancient Egyptian priestess Shiera. Cisco (Carlos Valdes) had "vibed" her in the previous "The Flash" episode and seen an angel-like version of her. In the upcoming episode, she will be introduced to Carter Hall, the latest incarnation of her soul-mate Hawkman (Falk Henschel).

The former Egyptian prince remembers their incarnations and tries to convince Kendra and her new friends in Star City they are in fact bound together forever. In every life, they are drawn towards each other before the 6,000-year-old immortal Big Bad Vandal Savage (Casper Crump) kills them both.
Every time Savage kills a reincarnation of the ill-fated couple, he gets more powerful, and he has killed them 206 times. In the promo, Hawkman is seen tied up, trying to explain to everyone Kendra's best bet is to be with him. To this Cisco replies: "You are 0 for 206 and you still think you're her best bet?"
In the end, Hawkman realises his best bet is to accept the help of those willing to give it, and be part of a group that will fight with him. That group is, after all, what "Legends of Tomorrow".
Watch Season 2 Episode 8 of "The Flash" at 8 pm (EST) on Tuesday, 1 December. You can also live-stream "Legends of Today" via CWTV.
