The much-anticipated Excel Entertainment's "Fukrey" trailer has finally been launched.
"Fukrey", produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, is a funny take on four college goers and their subsequent mishap.
The film stars Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Manjot Singh, Ali Fazal and Richa Chadda as the nasty Punjabi financer.
The trailer of the film is about four people, who are just into college and dreams of making it big through easy money. But all hell breaks loose as the tides turn and the guys have to cough it up to the feisty financier Richa Chadda.
The first look of the film was launched at Delhi's Jai Hind College Canteen in the presence of the entire cast, producers Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani and director Mirghdeep Singh Lamba.
"Fukrey" is set in Delhi and the term in local Delhite Hindi refers to the 'jobless or the cheap'.
With "Fukrey", this would be Excel's fourth male bonding film after "Zindegi Mile Na Dobara", "Dil Chahta Hai" and "Rock On!!"
On being asked why they another film on male bonding, producer Farhan Akhtar told IANS, "I have been asked this question too many times and I always wanted to ask a question to people who put this question forward. Do you ever ask a filmmaker who keeps making love stories that why he keeps makes them, or a director who makes action flicks, why he makes them? Then why is this being targetted?"
The comedy is set for release on 14 June, 2013.
