West Ham United will host Tottenham Hotspur in a crucial midweek English Premier League (EPL) encounter at the Boleyn Ground in London.
The Hammers have been in good form at their own backyard, as they are unbeaten in their last 13 home games, and they will look to extend that number to 14 when they face the Spurs, Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Spurs, who are placed second in the EPL points table, are unbeaten in their last 12 away games. But it will not be easy against West Ham United, who are looking to reclaim fifth spot in the points table, which is currently being occupied by Manchester United.
The Hammers are just one point behind United in the standings, and are still hopeful of sneaking into the top four.
"We try and win every game, no matter who we play. There's a long way to go this season. Okay, for now, 43 points we are in a good position. The only focus is to finish as high as possible. We don't have any other goal than that, no specific target," West ham United manager Slaven Bilic was quoted as saying by Goal.
"We need to continue to fight every game because every game is tough, and there are a lot of teams near us.
"In some ways we are already a victim of our own success. The only way we can stop the expectations rising is to lose games, which of course we don't want. The pressure is always on."
The North London outfit depend on their striker Harry Kane, who has been in superb form, scoring 21 goals in all competitions this season.
Dele Alli has also scored seven goals so far for Spurs. Alli's fitness is a concern for manager Maricio Pochettino, ahead of their clash against the Hammers.
"Dele had a problem before the game against Swansea," Pochettino was quoted as saying by Football.co.uk. "During the game he suffered some different things. We need to assess him tomorrow and then decide.
Spurs have played wonderful football this season, and are one of the contenders for the Premier League title. Pochettino is aware of that, and he feels his team cannot shy away from that fact.
Their spirited show against Swansea City FC in their last Premier League game, when they came back from a goal down to win 2-1, showed they are not ready to give up this title chase easily.
"For me Leicester are at the top and they have the pressure too like all the teams below. We don't feel that," Pochettino said ahead of the game against Hammers.
"Only for us it is important to keep our level, our fitness, our mentality and we'll see what happens. It's too soon to speak about the end of the season.
"It is a very important game, a derby, and you cannot split the emotion from the game. It is not only a game. It is not only three points, it means a lot more than three points because every time you play a derby like West Ham or Arsenal it is more important for our supporters and we feel the same."
Expected lineups: West ham United: Adrian; Henry, Collins, Ogbonna, Creswell; Kouyate, Noble, Lanzini; Antonio, Emenike, Payet.
Tottenham Hotspur: Lloris; Walker, Alderweireld, Wimmer, Rose; Dier, Mason; Lamela, Eriksen, Chadli; Kane.
