Liverpool take on West Bromwich Albion in an English Premier League (EPL) match at the Anfield on Sunday.
After suffering a shocking defeat at the hands of Newcastle United last weekend, the Reds from the Anfield will be looking forward to bounce back in no time against West Bromwich Albion on Sunday.
West Brom on the other hand have remained unbeaten in their last three games. The Baggies have looked solid under Tony Pulis as they drew against Tottenham and West Ham and pulled off a brilliant victory over Arsenal in their last three encounters in the EPL.
After handing a crushing defeat to Southampton in the League Cup (6-1), Liverpool have somewhat lost their momentum. It was also unexpected that they would end up playing a goalless draw against Sion in the Europa League in the middle of the week.
Their form at Anfield has not been great. They have played seven games at Anfield in this season of the EPL, and managed to win only three. The other could have been won with ease, but lacklusture performance hurt them. Jurgen Klopp will be looking to resurrect Liverpool's form at home as soon as possible and it might as well begin against The Baggies.
Liverpool have been extremely unpredictable, or rather consistently inconsistent, this season. In their last six games across all formats, they have managed to win three, draw one and lose two. The statistics show how unpredictable they have been in this season.
"The first thing to do tonight was to show character and show that you're prepared for a game like this. That's what my team did, so I'm really satisfied. Nobody is injured and they were very focused and concentrated on the game, so everything is okay," Klopp had told reporters after their clash against Sion in the middle of the week. "It was not the football we all know, our best football, but we also know that although it's an outdoor sport, frozen ground is for other sports usually."
However, Liverpool will have to take the field without Daneil Sturridge as he picked up a hamstring injury while playing against Newcastle in the last weekend. Liverpool fans can relax as Philipe Coutinho, who has been in superb form this season, looks all set to return to the starting lineup against West Brom, having recovered from his hamstring injury.
Meanwhile the Reds need to be aware of the fact that West Brom under Pulis have collected more points away from in this season and they will not be an easy team to beat under current circumstances.
Expected lineups:
Liverpool: Mignolet; Clyne, Lovren, Skrtel, Moreno; Henderson, Milner, Can; Firmino, Benteke, Coutinho
West Brom: Myhill; Dawson, McAuley, Evans, Olsson, Brunt; Morrison, Fletcher, McClean, McManaman; Rondon
