Chelsea, the defending champions, have not registered a single victory in the English Premier League this season, though they have played only two games. They have looked second best against their last two opponents, Swansea and Manchester City, but will be eager to get their first full three points of the season when they face West Brom on Sunday.
However, West Brom are not going to be an easy opponents as well for the Blues, who will be playing an away game at The Hawthrons. Tony Pulis, West Brom manager is one of the best managers in the EPL, will make sure that Chelsea does not take all three points in front of their home fans. Expect some gritty performance by Tony Pulis' men on Sunday.
However, Tony Pulis' side needs to score goals as they have been below par offensively and have not opened their goals tally as well, though they have 1 point from their goalless draw against Watford. Rickie Lambert and Saido Berahino are going to be crucial for West Brom.
West Brom are aware of the number of star players in the Chelsea line up as the Blues are expected to hand Pedro his debut and the former Barca star could be handful alongside players such as Eden Hazard, Diego Costa and others. Chelsea are a huge force when on song as their performance during the last season reflected.
"A crisis after two games? Every time you play one of the top teams [you can expect a backlash]. If they play to their level, he could have Pedro and [Eden] Hazard wide, [Diego] Costa up front - it's not bad is it," said Pulis.
"They're a fantastic team, champions elect and they deserved to win it by a country mile last year because they were that far ahead of everyone else."
Despite having some world class players, Jose Mourinho will not be a happy man from their performance in the last two games. As a result, the Blues have put in some extra effort during training to get in perfect shape and earn their first victory of the season.
"We normally train very well but this week we train better than ever. Why? Because we're not happy with the results," said Mourinho, who will welcome back goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois from suspension," said Chelsea manager.
"We want to do better and the only way is to work well and better than ever, which we did this week."
Chelsea, who were not active in the transfer market prior to the start of the EPL 2015-16 season, have suddenly become busy and signed two key players in the form of Baba Rahman and Pedro, who are sure to strengthen the Blues.
"This week we got very good young left-back [Rahman] that we need. We also get one of the best attackers in the world [Pedro]. A player with lots of experience and with something I really like, a desire to leave a giant club,"added Mourinho.
"A desire to leave one of the best clubs in world, where normally when you're there you don't want to leave. He is loved in the club, he loves the club and he wants to leave for something more for his career."
