When Leicester City dropped two points against West Brom in midweek, it looked like being two massive dropped points, what with Arsenal and Tottenham expected to come away with victories the next day.
However, Spurs and the Gunners dropped suffered defeats, and that 2-2 draw against West Brom ended up being a point earned, strengthening Leicester's position at the top of the table. Leicester currently lead Spurs by three points, and with Tottenham and/or Arsenal definitely set to lose points on Saturday, considering they are playing each other in the North London Derby, this could be another wonderful week for Claudio Ranieri's men.
A win away to Watford will not be easy, however, considering Quique Sanchez Flores' men have the firepower to beat any team in the Premier League.
The Hornets were unlucky to come away from Manchester United without a single point in midweek, and Flores will expect his team to bounce back from that disappointment.
"(They are) fantastic and they were unlucky against United because before (Juan) Mata made a masterpiece, there was two corners," Ranieri told the club's official website while talking about Watford. "They were unbelievable and they could have won the match.
"It's a good team, good manager and a good club. I know very well that family (who own Watford) and I'm sure year after year they will build a very good team. There are so many good players in the squad."
Pressure is a funny thing. To some teams (or individuals) it can have a funny effect, motivate them and bring the best out of them; to others it can paralyse and completely push them back into their shells. Over the next ten games, Ranieri will get to know which aspect of pressure his players belong to.
The key for this match will be to set an early tone for Leicester against Watford, but then, the London side will be thinking along the same lines as well.
"We are going to play against an amazing team in Leicester, the best team in the Premier League this year," Flores told Hornets Player. "At the moment they are at the top and they are playing really well.
"They are a very solid team with very good players, very good strikers, and they defend well, so we are excited about what will be an amazing match and we have the idea to reach our objectives and win.
"Against Bournemouth we played well, against Manchester United I think we deserved to win, so the confidence of the players is good.
"The Leicester game is different, it's not Bournemouth and it's not United, but it's a very good, a solid team, and they are fighting for the league so we have to be positive and very energetic from the beginning."
