Manchester United are set to take on Sam Allardyce's men later tonight at Upton Park as they look to claim the third spot in the EPL standings table.
It is a huge game for both sides as victory for West Ham could see them level on points with Liverpool, who were held to a goal-less draw in the Merseyside derby.
Though Manchester United may still be in the top four, but they have not been convincing as far as their manager, Louis van Gaal would want them to be. They have not been able to play quality football, still they have been winning, which is important.
They have only lost a single game in their last six encounters in the league, while West Ham have been disappointing with three losses from their last six.
Ahead of the important clash against West Ham, Louis van Gaal issued a warning to his players stating they have to perform not only in the field, but also during training.
"I think all of them are playing for their future and all of them are aware of that. They know they have to perform. Not just in the matches, but also on the training pitch," Gaal told reporters.
"It always has to be 100 percent. Maybe a lot of players were not aware of that -- but now they know."
"It is not easy for me [to make tough decisions] because I know that most of my players are trying to do their utmost best."
Manchester United would go into the match with full confidence, as Van Gaal would have a whole lot of options before taking a call on the final eleven, as all his players barring Michael Carrick is fit.
Very rarely has Van Gaal got an opportunity during the season, where he had a full squad to pick from.
Allardyce is aware about the quality players at Van Gaal's disposal. "Man United have had some very good results recently and the beauty of them is the goal scoring ability in their squad," he said as quoted in EPL official website.
"Man United have had some very good results recently and the beauty of them is the goalscoring ability in their squad."
But, West Ham draw a sorry picture against United as six players, James Collins, Winston Reid, Guy Demel, Diego Poyet, Doneil Henry and Andy Carroll are doubtful for the clash.
Hence, Allardyce might be forced to play some players out of position as well.
