St Kitts and Nevis Patriots will lock horns with St Lucia Zouks in match no. 6 of Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2016 at Basseterre in St Kitts on Sunday. The hosts have lost both their matches so far in CPL 2016 and the Faf du Plessis-led side will be looking to bounce back against the Zouks after two back-to-back defeats.
St Kitts and Nevis Patriots, a side that joined the CPL in the third edition, continued with their poor run of form. They were thoroughly outplayed in their first two matches. They need to work on a lot of areas if they at all would want to progress in CPL 2016.
"I don't think home and away makes such a difference, all of us are foreigners anyway. I have never played two days in a row but it's a quality team and a quality competition. We don't want to be predictable as a bowling unit," Du Plessis was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz.
Meanwhile, Zouks made an impressive start to CPL 2016 as they defeated the defending champions Trinbago Knight Riders in the opening match of the tournament.
Darren Sammy and co. put up an all-round show against the Knight Riders. They will have the upper hand against the Patriots on Sunday.
Surprisingly, these two teams were the bottom two sides of CPL 2015. Both sides are loaded with a lot of experience. This indeed, is going to be an interesting encounter. Du Plessis will look to lead from the front and Sammy, on the other hand, will want his teammates to put up a similar show against Patriots.
