La Liga giants Barcelona take on Villanovense in the second-leg fixture of the round-of-16 in the Copa del Rey on Wednesday at the Camp Nou. On paper, the game looks like another easy-like-anything game for Barca, but the visitors are very much in the game after holding Luis Enrique's side for a shock goalless draw in the first leg.
Villanovense play in the third-tier Division 2B of Spanish football, and come into the game after five consecutive defeats in all competitions, but they did steal attention after their goalless draw.
Barcelona, the defending Spanish Cup champions, meanwhile, have won all their six previous fixtures in all competitions, scoring 22 times and conceding just once. The Spanish giants have looked unstoppable ever since Lionel Messi made his return at the El Clasico last month.
However, the 'little magician' is not a part of the squad for tonight's game as Enrique is looking to give him some much-needed rest to ensure Messi remains fit for the big matches up ahead in the La Liga and the UEFA Champions League. Luis Suarez and Neymar, nevertheless, make it to the squad for the game.
Enrique is not keen on taking this game casually, as conceding a goal can give the away side a major boost, and Barca could be in for their biggest shock in history.
"It's a dangerous situation, because a draw would knock us out. We need to take this game seriously even though we're playing a lower level team," the Spanish coach said ahead of the game. "We had a lot of problems in the first leg. It might look easy but I'm not taking any chances."
For Villanovense coach Julio Cobas, staying positive and having the confidence, remains the key. "Our aim is to present a good image, play a serious game, make things difficult and, of course, qualify. It'll be very difficult, but anything can happen in football," said the Spaniard.
