Uruguay will take on Jamaica in their last game of Copa America 2016 at Levis Stadium in Santa Clara on Monday. Both teams will look to end this tournament on a high as they have already been knocked out of Copa America Centenario edition.
While Uruguay lost to Venezuela in their previous game, Jamaica lost all their games prior to this match.
It will be interesting to see if Uruguay's star striker from FC Barcelona Luis Suarez gets a game or not. He missed out on the first two matches because of a hamstring injury that he had sustained during the last match of the season while playing for Barcelona.
The coach Oscar Tabarez had clearly mentioned that if a player is not completely fit, then in no way he is going to allow a player to play on the field.
Meanwhile, the Reggae Boys are the only team who are yet to score in Copa America 2016. It is not like they did not get opportunities to score. They got a number of them but they have failed. Therefore, they will want to break that shackle in this dead-rubber match of Copa America 2016.
If Uruguay faced such a stiff challenge from Venezuela (world ranking 77), then imagine what they are going to face against Jamaica (world ranking 46) on Monday.
The result of this match will not matter, but a good game of football is surely on the cards.
Probable lineups:
Uruguay starting: Muslera; Pereira, Gimenez, Godin, Silva; Sanchez, Arevalo, Gonzalez, Ramirez; Stuani, Cavani.
Jamaica: Blake; Mariappa, Morgan, Taylor, Watson; McCleary, Williamson, Hector, McAnuff; Barnes, Donaldson.
