Colombia are all set to take on Venezuela in a Group C clash of the Copa America 2015 at Estadio El Teniente on June 14.
Former Manchester United striker Radamel Falacao will lead the attack alongside James Rodriguez, Carlos Bacca and Jackson Martinez. Colombia do have a number of star players in their side and they would want to make a winning start to their Copa America 2015 campaign.
Falcao was injured during the last World Cup back in 2014 and thus did not feature in the Colombian squad. James Rodriguez was the star performer for Colombia during the FIFA World Cup in Brazil last year and that helped him get roped in by Spanish giants Real Madrid.
Meanwhile, Falcao had a poor season at Manchester United the last season. He could not impress the United boss Louis van Gaal and as a result he would be looking for a club elsewhere in Europe if he does not go back to his mother club AS Monaco.
These two countries have a history of low scoring games and one would expect this one to end in a draw, but Colombia have been in a good form of late as they have won their last seven international games in a row. On a contrary, Colombia have only managed to win one game in their last five encounters with their neighbours Venezuela.
Venezuela had finished fourth in the Copa America 2011 and they would want to better their record this time only if they manage to go past Colombia and Brazil. Venezuela have never reached the final of this tournament, but they have made enough progress in the recent times where they have managed to win thee out of their last four international games. They are sure to give a tough competition to Jose Pekerman's star studded side.
Expected Lineups:
Colombia: Ospina, Zuniga, Zapata, Murillo, Andrade, Cuadrado, Sanchez, Mejia, Rodrguez, Falcao, Martinez.
Venezuela: Baroja, Rosales, Vizcarrondo, Amorebieta, Cichero, Murillo, Seijas, Rincon, Arango, Rondon, Martinez.
