KKR are on a ridiculous run of form at the moment, a run which has carried on from the IPL and onto the first two matches of the CLT20 2014.
Gautam Gambhir's men pulled a rabbit out of the hat to top CSK in the CLT20 2014 main draw opener, before showing their immense strength against the Lahore Lions at the weekend.
Sunil Narine has been their trump card with the ball, and boy has he been good in this CLT20 2014. In the eight overs he has bowled so far in this tournament, Narine has conceded just 18 runs combined – nine each – while taking four wickets.
Such is the prowess of the man, that the opposing team basically are only able to play 16 overs in the innings, with the batsmen also unable to avoid giving away wickets to the West Indian.
The Scorchers will know the threat posed by Narine, but they will be riding a wave of confidence following their unbelievable last-ball victory over the Dolphins, when Mitchell Marsh hit two sixes of the final two balls.
Marsh has been outstanding for club and country of late, and the Australian all-rounder will be key to the Perth Scorchers' fortunes against the formidable KKR.
"We know what Mitch can do," Perth Scorchers bowler Joel Paris told CLT20's official website following that dramatic win. "He is a class player, an international player and he did it on the big stage a couple of weeks ago against South Africa.
"We just knew that if we stuck in there, kept going, bring it down to the last over, we can do it. And Mitch did it. It was fantastic."
With the way the KKR are going at the moment, though, Perth Scorchers might need a little more than some Marsh magic to pull off their second consecutive victory and halt the IPL's teams ridiculous winning run.
