English Premier League giants Manchester City have almost made it to the last eight of the UEFA Champions League this season, but they are not willing to rest on previous results. The Citizens host Ukrainian side Dynamo Kiev in their second leg round-of-16 match Tuesday at the Etihad Stadium.

City come into the game on the back of a 3-1 win in their first-leg fixture. Sergio Aguero, David Silva and Yaya Toure had scored the crucial goals for the English side.

The pressure is no doubt on the visitors, but Kiev will have to understand that they have to produce a bright performance to get a result and progress to the next round. However, Manuel Pellegrini's side are not willing to go any easy on their opponents as they are keen on recording another emphatic win in the European competition.

The Chilean coach has also said he would field the "strongest squad" against their Ukrainian opponents.

"The most important thing is to know that we are not already qualified. We play against a big team who know how to play this type of game, so that [a win] for me is the first target of the club," Pellegrini told UEFA. "After that, we try to see who we have to play in the quarter-finals.

"We are starting at 0-0 and trying to be a better team than Dynamo here at home. We will put out a strong squad. We need to win the game and will put out the strongest squad we can."

Kiev, winner of the Ukrainian League 27 times, know they are under tremendous pressure to get a result for themselves in Manchester. Head coach Serhiy Rebrov has asked his army not to lose focus and give the home side a strong fight.

"We will try to rid ourselves of the nerves. I think we have a chance provided the players don't feel nervous," Rebrov said. "If they are relaxed they will create chances. We will fight for a result, regardless of the result of the first leg.

"We have to be focused, we have to work hard and we have to be strong. But most of all we have to be a team. We have a lot of good players, but we have to be a team. We want to play at full steam from the start of the match - but it doesn't always happen," the Ukrainian coach said.
