This video shows the Australian pitcher plant Cephallotus follicularis. Scientists have now sequenced its full genome which will facilitate future evolutionary studies on carnivorous plants. The findings shed a light on how carnivorous plants have evolved and adapted to attract, capture and digest their preys.
